Porcelain Crowns & Veneers

We want to see you smile! New technological advancements in dental materials now allow us to provide you with beautiful esthetic solutions to chipped, missing or heavily restored teeth. Depending on the current state of a tooth, sometimes a thin porcelain facing (veneer) is all that is needed to give you that pleasing look you’ve always wanted. In other cases, where the tooth is more badly damaged or weakened, a crown may be more appropriate. Either way, you’ll be pleased with how natural and beautiful your new teeth will look! If you have any questions regarding cosmetic dental procedures, be sure to book an appointment with Dr. Sanders who will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

Teeth Whitening

Have you ever wanted a whiter smile? Tooth whitening may be the place to start. Teeth naturally darken with age and their appearance can be affected by the accumulation of surface stains acquired from the use of tobacco products and the consumption of certain foods or drinks such as wine and coffee. Most of these stains are extrinsic, meaning that they are superficial and can usually be removed through tooth bleaching procedures.

At Knox Mountain Dentistry, we prefer the “at home” bleaching systems as they allow you to perform the procedure whenever your schedule allows. In order to begin this process, you will need to book two short appointments with our office. The first will allow us to take impressions of your teeth so that we can make you custom fit whitening trays. These trays are very durable and can last for many years if cared for properly. At the second appointment, we will try your trays in to make sure the fit is perfect and will instruct you on how to use the trays at home. Before you know it you will be showing off your new, whiter smile!

Dental Bonding

Sometimes we are unsatisfied with the way our teeth look, but do we always need to place crowns or veneers on teeth to achieve an esthetic result? Not necessarily. Dental bonding is a form of cosmetic dentistry and can in some cases be an excellent alternative to other cosmetic dental procedures to fix slightly chipped, discolored or rotated teeth. The procedure involves placing tooth-coloured filling material on a tooth and sculpting and polishing it to achieve a beautiful result. These procedures offer our patients a more economical means of addressing their esthetic needs and can last for many years, often only requiring an occasional polishing in the office. Did I mention that they look great too!
