Financial Information
Payment Options Available
We accept cash, personal cheques, money orders, debit and major credit cards. Full payment is expected at the time services are performed. Your dental health is important to us here at Knox Mountain Dentistry and your care should never be compromised due to finances. We take great pride in the work that we do and always aim to provide you with the best dental services. As a courtesy to our patients, we will gladly help you submit your claims on your behalf to your dental insurance provider. Co-payment (the portion of payment that is the responsibility of the patient) is due at the time of treatment. Once reimbursement of services is received, you will be notified if there is a credit on your account or if a balance is due. Any uncovered amounts or unpaid claims are the responsibility of the patient to pay in full. Please note that we only accept assignment for primary insurance plans for our patients – if a patient possesses a secondary plan then we will submit the claim for the insurer to reimburse that patient directly.
Information Regarding Insurance
We accept most dental insurance programs, please provide your insurance information to our front desk staff. The forms required by your insurance will be prepared by our front desk staff, however we remind you that your specific insurance policy is an agreement between you and your insurance company. You are ultimately responsible for any unpaid portion should your insurance benefits result in less coverage than anticipated. We will gladly submit a pre-authorization estimate to your insurance company so that you will know what your benefits will be.
The fees charged for services rendered to those who are insured are the customary fees charged to all our patients for similar services. Your policy may base its allowances on a fixed fee schedule, which may or may not coincide with our usual fees. You should be aware that different insurance companies vary greatly in the types of coverage available.
Payment Plans
We know that dentistry can be expensive. Insurance plan can help us get most of the care we need, but sometimes it falls short. So what do you do if you need to have some dental treatment done but don't have the financial means to pay a large lump sum up front? We wanted to open up treatment options for our patient's, so we've implemented 3rd party financing through Lendcare. There are a number of financing options to suit your needs so that you can get the dental treatment you need now without breaking the bank!
Insurance Documents
Please take the time to review the following documents put out by the British Columbia Dental Association that addressed patient insurance and patient co-payment.
Cancellation Policy
We operate on the principle of mutual respect. We require 2 business days notice to cancel any scheduled appointment - cancellations must be made over the phone and are not accepted via e-mail, text message or voicemail. Appointments that are cancelled short notice are subject to a $100 cancellation fee that must be paid prior to rebooking any future appointments.
